Stratego RZ is a number 5 type smooth green endive that produces a compact head and good self-blanching heart. It has broad leaves and is suitable for the fresh and convenience markets. The plant is vigorous and strong against tip burn and bolting. Stratego RZ hardly suffers from magnesium deficiency and grows well in most soil types. It is a strong variety that withstands summer conditions. Stratego RZ is also very suitable for organic cultivation and outdoor production in late spring, summer and early autumn.
